To order goods through this website you must be at least 18 years of age.
The price of all available items is shown on the detail page. Individual totals and prices for all items you select are again shown in the shopping cart.
If by mistake we have entered a wrong price which we are unable to honour we will inform you of the correct price and we will not send the goods or debit your credit card until you tell us that the revised price is acceptable to you.
No binding contract exists between us until we take payment.
The shipping charge, if any, is calculated once you have entered the delivery address.
Delivery is by Royal Mail, in most cases via Air Mail, but for particularly large or heavy items we will ship by surface mail unless you elect to pay for Air Mail. This will be clearly laid out before you enter your card details.
Model Rail Shop Ltd is not at this time registered for VAT, and therefore all prices include VAT at the current rates. We regret we cannot ship abroad ex-VAT for this reason.
Items held in stock will be despatched within 48 hours of us receiving your order. We aim to fulfil all orders for released items within 30 days at most, usually much sooner.
If there will be a delay longer than 10 days we will inform you as soon as we are aware, and ask you to confirm whether you are prepared to wait.
We will not be liable for loss occasioned by delay in delivery arising out of any cause beyond our control.
If you receive a damaged or defective item we will promptly send you a replacement or issue you a full refund after you have returned the damaged or defective item. You will not be charged any additional shipping or handling fees for replacement shipments.
If you change your mind within 14 working days of delivery and wish to return the goods then you can cancel your order by email or post to the address on the website.
You must return the goods unused and with the original packaging intact and we will refund your credit card with the full amount of your purchase. Please get a certificate of posting for the return as we cannot be liable for non-delivery of returned items.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
You can pay by any Mastercard or Visa credit card or Switch or Delta debit card. Your credit/debit card details will be encrypted to minimise the possibility of unauthorised access or disclosure. Authority for payment must be given at the time of order.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts.
